Senior Medical Writer

We are searching for an experienced medical writer who loves to create engaging content such as scientific headlines, key takeaways and potential implications. Your writing will be featured in strategic reports for our customers.

This is a part-time, flexible position for 5-10 hours per week.

You'll work closely with our head of product to translate medical content from social media into impactful headlines for our customers. Ideally, you will help identify customer needs and recommend new approaches and topics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in science, communications, journalism or English

• Ability to translate complex conversations into concise, business-oriented content

• Strong attention to detail with excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation and working knowledge of style guidelines

• Experience writing for business audiences within healthcare or life sciences is preferred

• Expertise in oncology is a big plus!

Back-end Software Engineer

We are looking for a passionate Back-end Software Engineer to design, develop and release software solutions. The successful candidate will be able to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. You will collaborate with an experienced remote engineering team with members located around the world. We’re looking to hire this individual for a 12 month, full time contract with competitive compensation depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code

• Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

• Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility

• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system

• Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures

• Document and maintain software functionality

• Tailor and deploy software tools, processes and metrics

• Serve as the BE technology subject matter expert

• Investigate and fix production bugs

Requirements

• Proven work experience in software engineering

• BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering

• Hands on experience in designing interactive web applications

• Ability to develop software in java, SQL, jersey, JPA2, and mysql for backend development

• Bonus familiarity with React Native for mobile app development, javascript, html5, css, less, and mustache and for web development, and/or qa test automation frameworks

• Experience with test-driven development

Head of User Experience and Design

We are looking for a passionate Head of User Experience and Design to partner with our product development team to design, develop and release software solutions. The successful candidate will be able to produce high-quality, innovative UI designs, visual assets, user workflows and lead user research for the company, with the end goal of producing products our users will love. You will collaborate with an experienced remote product development team with members located around the world. This is a full time role, ideally based near Santa Barbara, California but remote work is also possible. • Produce UI designs and visual assets needed for product development

• Conduct user research, concept testing and usability testing

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Lead UX Designer or Lead UI Designer
